in my opinion, tier listings arent supposed to be your basis on well you will fare with your selected character,

Namco, Harada san and Co. Have released multiple renditions of tekken in an attempt to "balance" the game

From what we have seen though, unless all the characters have the same exact moves, it is impossible to have a perfectly "balanced" game

the closest thing to being "balanced" that we have so far is that the Namco guys have provided us with an opportunity to excel and win based on how we are able to fully and effectively utilize the moves that a character have



Though there are times when the moves that are given to a specific character simply arent good enough hopefully in BR, with Namco's experience with past Tekkens, no character gets treated that way

The only thing we can do right now is to trust that Namco has provided every character the means to win...somehow...


So Instead of using tier lists as your Chart on how well you are going to use a character, tier lists, in my opinion, should be treated as something that provides us information regarding what other people think about the progress of the characters.

it is also something that provides us an interesting discussion regarding what other people think about the characters


hehe in my case, it also serves as a good excuse on why I keep on losing lately, since my main character is only ranked at class C-D hehehe









P.S. hmm from the initial tier listings Hei is supposed to be ranked on top alongside kazuya and steve, seems as time passess by and alot more are being discovered, People's opinion about heihachi seems to be getting lower


and WADA heck???? Jin even though being nerfed galore is still considered on top?

very well said...in the end, it will end up to the player and not the character. this is where SKILL starts to rise on the occasion.

reflect on this fact...a lot of tekken players [and i mean the bad-ass ones] are still using their character from the previous installments. prejudice sometimes kills y'know. people tend to put certain ranks on these characters base on observation and not on actual game play [situational] but hell, who cares anyway?
